please correct me if im wrong but the origional sentiment of crypto was to have an asset that was not controlled by a any single entity (government, fed, ect) and with how the current, american government is working towards adoption and even potentially setting it up to be backed by the US dollar that in my opinion does seem backward

The original sentiment of the blockchain, was to be decentralised - Storing data, on multiple points and validating through multiple points.
This has been fully achieved now.
The original sentiment of Cryptocurrencies, was to bring a digital currency, with transactional data on the blockchain, again, not stored in one single place, and to combat inflation, which is artificial
This has been achieved.
Your perception is a common one, but is unintentionally a wrong one, twisted by our own ideas and narratives, believing in rumours and speculation, instead of actually educating ourselves on what it all is (edited)
